Horry County (/ˈɒriː/ ORR-ee) is a county in the U.S. state of South Carolina. As of the 2010 census, its population was 289,650, making it the fifth-most populous county in South Carolina. The county seat is Conway.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,255 square miles (3,250 km²), of which 1,134 square miles (2,940 km²) are land and 121 square miles (310 km²) (9.6%) are covered by water. It is the largest county by land area in South Carolina. The highest point in the county is 124 ft above sea level.
